These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of hoodhappening.com (the "Site"), operated by HoodHappening ("we," "us"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

What HoodHappening is

HoodHappening is a free, no-account-required local events discovery tool. We aggregate publicly available event information from many third-party sources — ticketing platforms, event organizers, venues, government and municipal calendars, tourism boards, community organizations, and public social media pages — and present it in one searchable place, linking back to the original source for full details.

Event information is provided "as is"

We do not create, organize, or control the events listed on the Site. Dates, times, locations, prices, and availability are set by the original organizers and can change or be cancelled without notice. We make reasonable efforts to keep listings accurate and current, including automatically removing past events, but we cannot guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any listing.

Always verify event details directly with the original source or organizer (linked from each listing) before making plans, purchasing tickets, or traveling to an event. We are not responsible for losses arising from inaccurate, outdated, or cancelled event information.

Third-party links and content

The Site contains links to third-party websites (ticketing pages, venue sites, social media pages, etc.) that we do not own or control. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, terms, or privacy practices of any linked third-party site. Any transaction you make on a third-party site (e.g., purchasing tickets) is solely between you and that third party.

Intellectual property and content ownership

Event names, descriptions, images, and other listing details displayed on the Site remain the property of their respective owners (event organizers, venues, ticketing platforms, or other original publishers). We display this information for discovery purposes and link back to the original source. HoodHappening's own branding, site design, and original text are our property or used under license.

Copyright / content removal requests

If you are a rights holder, event organizer, or venue and believe a listing on HoodHappening infringes your rights, contains inaccurate information about your event, or should otherwise be removed, please contact us via the Contact page with the event link and a description of your request. We respond to good-faith takedown and correction requests promptly.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Site using automated means without our prior written permission;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site's operation, security, or availability;
• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or entity while using the Site.

No warranties

The Site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HoodHappening and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Site or reliance on any information displayed on it, including inaccurate or outdated event information.

Changes to the Site and these Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which HoodHappening operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
